Morecambe eye potential signings

"Our mobiles are on all the time and we're trying to add to the squad," Lillis told BBC Radio Lancashire.

"But if we don't sign anyone the lads who do play need to take their chance and that's what we keep saying."

Morecambe's results have improved over recent weeks after a disappointing first half of the season.

We're all in this together and we can't wait for new recruits to come in

Morecambe assistant manager Mark Lillis

The Shrimps are currently 17th in League Two - five points above the drop zone.

But after back-to-back defeats, Lillis demanded renewed focus to avoid being dragged back into a relegation fight.

"We're all in this together and we can't wait for new recruits to come in," he said.

"As a club and a squad we've lost the last two after winning four out of five so we've got to say 'come on, let's get back on a winning run'.

"We've got games against Macclesfield, Accrington and Cheltenham coming up. But we just need to take one game at a time and try and get back on a winning streak."
