Morecambe V Oxford Utd at Globe Arena - Match Preview

Parrish returns for Shrimps

Morecambe defender Andy Parrish is back in contention to face Oxford at the Globe Arena after he missed out against Wycombe last Saturday.

The 24-year-old picked up a knock in training prior to last week's 2-2 draw at Adams Park but came through a midweek reserves match against Fleetwood and looks set to be in manager Jim Bentley's plans.

Midfielder Andrew Fleming will return from suspension after serving his one-match ban against Wycombe due to picking up five yellow cards this season.

Attacking duo Danny Carlton and Jordan Burrow remain sidelined with knee injuries which have kept them out since September and November respectively.

A win for the Shrimps would extend their unbeaten home run in the league to seven games.

Oxford manager Chris Wilder will be without suspended midfielder Simon Heslop.

Heslop will serve the first game of his three-match ban after the Football Association rejected an appeal against his sending off during last weekend's 1-1 draw with npower League Two strugglers Aldershot.

Long-term absentee Michael Duberry, who has not played a first-team match this campaign, featured in a practice match in midweek as he continues to recover from a neck injury, but is unlikely to be risked by the manager.

Otherwise, Wilder has no fresh injury or suspension concerns and is expected to stick with the team that has gone unbeaten for the last five games in all competitions.
