McIlory hails victorious Shrimps

Morecambe manager Sammy McIlroy had nothing but praise for his side as they clinched only their second win of the season at Bradford Wayward finishing was again City`s downfall as Paul Mullin`s simple soft goal midway through the first half saw the visitors walk away with all three points. "The lads did magnificently well," said McIlroy. "The work-ethic was fantastic. We limited Bradford to maybe one chance early on but other than that I don't think our goalkeeper was tested. "We scored a good goal and created some other openings. I had to make four changes so our squad was tested but the boys who came in did fantastically well. "It was Paul Mullin's third goal in as many games. He is 36 years of age and works his socks off. He is a fantastic professional but everyone put a shift in and I am delighted with the team performance. "That's two away wins on the trot but we need to translate it into good results at home. I was especially pleased that we kept a clean sheet."
