Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy believes rookie striker Jimmy Spencer will grow in confidence after scoring his first goal for the club. The teenager bagged the winner in Saturday's 3-2 win at Southend to give the Shrimps their first victory of the season. "That will do Jimmy a lot of good," said McIlroy. "He has been on the fringes since he has been here but he is still young and still learning his trade. "He has a lot of ability and goals like that will give him great confidence."
