McIlroy bemoans defensive flaws

Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy blamed poor defending after Burton came from behind to register their first win of the campaign thanks to a 3-2 success. Burton enjoyed a flying start when Aaron Webster powered home a header but Andrew Fleming levelled from a Darren Moss cross. Chris Shuker was on hand to set up Fleming for another close-range finish after the break but Webster pounced from six yards to equalise and Greg Pearson struck the winner from the spot.M McIlroy said: "When we went 2-1 in front I thought it was game over because Burton didn't look scoring again. All we had to do was keep the ball as we had been doing, but we couldn't handle a set-piece and then gave away a penalty kick. "I honestly couldn't see Burton scoring a second goal if they had played till 5 o'clock and that's why it's very frustrating that we go away with nothing. We didn't do our job, simple as that, and there are not positives to come out of for me."
