Morecambe V Chesterfield at Globe Arena - Match Preview

Threlfall back for Shrimps

Morecambe manager Jim Bentley has defender Robbie Threlfall available for the clash with leaders Chesterfield.

The 24-year-old was shown a straight red card in the 3-1 win over Southend but has now completed his three-match ban.

Midfielder Andy Fleming (foot) made his return for the reserves in midweek, while striker Jack Redshaw (hip) is back in light training but will not return until November.

Bentley will hand a late fitness test to midfielder Marcus Marshall who could make his return from a hamstring injury.

Chesterfield boss Paul Cook reckons he could be without as many as four injured players.

Cook stopped short of naming those who are doubts but it would be fair to assume that strikers Marc Richards and Armand Gnanduillet are among the quartet.

It is known that Gnanduillet has a swollen knee, with the club awaiting the results of a scan, while Richards was spotted with an ice pack on his right thigh on Thursday.

One player who is certain to miss out is Gary Roberts following his red card late on in the derby defeat to Mansfield last weekend as the winger is suspended.
