Morecambe V Plymouth at Globe Arena - Match Preview

Similar squad for Shrimps

Jim Bentley will have a similar squad at his disposal as he looks to boost Morecambe after their Capital One Cup exit when they host Plymouth at the Globe Arena.

The Shrimps exited at the hands of Premier League Newcastle on Wednesday night in front of a sell-out crowd but performed credibly in front of the television cameras.

Jack Redshaw (hip) is Bentley's only injury absentee as they bid to maintain their unbeaten home start in League Two.

Should Bentley opt to change his XI, though, the likes of defender Chris McCready and forward Marcus Marshall, who both struggled with injuries earlier this term, are on stand-by.

Plymouth boss John Sheridan has no fresh injury worries.

The Pilgrims have recorded back-to-back wins and make the long trip full of confidence with Sheridan likely to name the same XI that beat Rochdale last time out.

Striker Matt Lecointe underwent a cruciate knee ligament operation on Tuesday and faces a lengthy recovery period while Paul Wotton remains sidelined.

Wotton remains a week or so away from full fitness after breaking his ribs on the opening day of the new season.
