Morecambe V Wolverhampton at Globe Arena - Match Preview

Trio missing for Wolves

Morecambe boss Jim Bentley has an attacking conundrum to consider with three of his forwards set to miss the televised Capital One Cup clash against Wolves.

The Shimps' pre-season preparations were dealt a huge blow when last season's leading marksman Jack Redshaw sustained a hip injury likely to keep him out for the rest of 2013.

Their situation got even more bleak with summer signing Marcus Marshall missing the trip to Wycombe, a game in which fellow hamstring victim Kevin Ellison was withdrawn from after about an hour.

After failing to find the net against the Chairboys, strikers Padraig Amond and Jack Sampson will be hoping to open their respective accounts.

Richard Stearman, George Elokobi and Dave Edwards all are set to miss out for Wolves.

Defenders Stearman (hamstring) and Elokobi (groin) as well as midfielder Edwards (ankle) all sustained injuries during the opening-day goalless draw at Preston and are facing spells on the sidelines.

Despite the injury setbacks, manager Kenny Jackett is unlikely to call upon defenders Roger Johnson or Stephen Ward, who are training on their own with Kevin Doyle, Jamie O'Hara and Tongo Doumbia ahead of their impending exits later this month.

The likes of Kevin Foley, Jake Cassidy, Zeli Ismail and Wayne Hennessey are all pushing for involvement.
