The on-loan Huddersfield man was unable to find the net as the Shrimps went down against Accrington on Saturday but boss Sammy McIlroy is delighted to have the youngster in his ranks.
"Jimmy is still only young and he is learning all the time," said McIlroy. "He has done well since joining us and will benefit from his spell here."
Spencer is likely to partner Paul Mullin in attack once again after the latter completed nearly 80 minutes on his return from a calf problem.
McIlroy has options at his disposal, though, with a fully-fit squad to choose from ahead of the trip to Edgeley Park.
Morecambe have games in hand over County and will be looking for three points to pull away from the bottom two.
