Ellison has final say in late drama

Substitute Kevin Ellison scored a stoppage-time equaliser against former loan club Bradford to earn Morecambe a 2-2 draw after a dramatic finale which produced three goals in five minutes.

Defender Marcel Seip had only restored Bradford's lead in the 89th minute when Ellison volleyed home fellow substitute Phil Jevons' left-wing cross in the first minute of injury time for his 12th goal of the season.

Morecambe, who were always dangerous on the break, had initially appeared on course for a point four minutes from time when Andrew Davies turned Laurence Wilson's cross into his own net.

Ricky Ravenhill, who this week joined Bradford on a permanent deal from Notts County following a successful two-month loan deal, had earlier put the home side in front with a superb 20-yard shot on the hour mark after the visitors had failed to clear Davies' cross.

But in the end it was left for Ellison, who spent the latter half of last season on loan with the Bantams before being released by Rotherham, to have the last word.
