Morecambe 1-2 Carlisle- Match Report

Carlisle hit back to see off MorecambeCharlie Wyke and Derek Asamoah scored within two minutes of each other late on as Carlisle hit back to win 2-1 at Morecambe.The Cumbrians were trailing 1-0 with just seven minutes to go but a controversial Wkye penalty and a fine finish from substitute Asamoah ensured a fine comeback from Keith Curle's side.Kevin Ellison had given Morecambe the lead in the 27th minute when he converted Jamie Devitt's superb through ball but the veteran striker wasted a glorious chance to double the home side's lead early in the second half and he was made to pay.The home side started the better and hit the woodwork twice in the space of a few seconds with Ryan Edwards' looping header hitting the crossbar and Ellison hitting the rebound against the post from a tight angle.Carlisle hit back with Alex Gillead forcing a neat save from Barry Roche with a shot from distance and Jabo Ibehre seeing a close range header palmed away by the home stopper.The second half started with Ellison choosing to shoot straight at Hanford rather than pass for the unmarked Paul Mullin and his mistake proved costly.The game changed when Morecambe substitute Aaron McGowan was adjudged to have pulled back Wkye and referee Darren Drysdale pointed to the spot.Within seconds the visitors went ahead
