Wayne Curtis' ninth Nationwide Conference goal of the season gave Morecambe their second successive home win with this narrow victory over Telford United.

The big striker who has taken the goal charts by storm this season produced a magnificent finish after 31 minutes with a fierce right-foot shot that flew past the right hand of Paul Edwards in the Bucks goal.

In truth Morecambe had chances to add to their tally with a mixture of wayward finishing and solid goal keeping kept the scoreline down.

Morecambe showed the sort of skills that earned them a 5-0 victory over Woking at the weekend and came close to adding their score on several occasions.

Edwards produced a superb save from Lee Elam's close-range header after 12 minutes and the Telford keeper did well again to save twice from Adriano Rigoglioso in quick succession.

The second half saw Elam in the thick of the action with two efforts that went either side of the post in the opening seconds of the period while Rigoglioso fired a stinging shot just over the bar after 50 minutes.

It took Telford 79 minutes to produce a shot on goal with Peter Smith shooting straight at Craig Mawson.

The Morecambe keeper then made his real save of the game after 83 minutes from a curling effort by substitute Steve Palmer
