Shrimps and Millers share six-goal thriller

Rotherham came from 3-0 down to clinch a 3-3 draw and earn a superb point at Morecambe.

The Millers looked dead and buried as they trailed 3-0 after just 37 minutes thanks to a third-minute opener from Gary McDonald and two Laurence Wilson penalties either side of the half hour.

Helped by referee Tony Bates' decision not to send off goalkeeper Andy Warrington and defender John Harley for last-man fouls, Andy Scott's side produced a stunning fightback.

They won a penalty of their own when Alex Revell was brought down by Garry Hunter, Lewis Grabban slotting home the spot-kick in the 39th minute.

And the second half belonged to the Millers who dominated from start to finish.

Gareth Evans pulled a goal back after 58 minutes with a sweet left-footed strike after latching onto Hunter's poor pass.

And the excellent Revell levelled shortly after with a fine header from Danny Harrison's cross.

Morecambe `keeper Barry Roche was then forced to make excellent saves from Chris Holroyd and Danny Schofield as the home side were left to hang on for a point.
