Morecambe boss Jim Harvey was overjoyed after seeing his side trounce a woeful Woking 5-0 at Christie Park.
Skipper Stewart Drummond led the way with a superb hat-trick with the other strikes coming from young midfielder Michael Stringfellow and forward Adriano Rigoglioso.
It was the latter who gave the Shrimps the lead after 23 minutes with a looping header over Steve Farrelly from Lee Elam 's right-wing cross.
Eleven minutes later it was 2-0 when the impressive Stringfellow let fly with a 30-yard shot that whistled into the bottom left-hand corner of Farrelly's goal.
By this time Woking had no answer to Morecambe's impressive forward play and Drummond opened his account with a smart finish from Wayne Curtis' neat lay-off.
The second half began much as the first half finished with Morecambe very much on top and Drummond made it 4-0 seven minutes after the restart with a shot that took a wicked deflection to beat the unlucky Farrelly.
Woking then enjoyed a brief period of dominance with sub Warren Patmore wasting two opportunities in quick succession.
Morecambe came back almost immediately with both Curtis and Rigoglioso hitting the woodwork before Drummond capped a fine display with a neat finish to seal his treble and a comfortable Morecambe victory
